About Me

About Me

I am a graduate of the Game Design program at the University of Central Florida. In addition to the program’s coursework, I took advantage of other resources such as joining the Game Dev Knights student organization. I served as Staff and was later elected Treasurer for the club. My responsibilities as Treasurer involved handling membership dues, organizing trips, procuring funding for events and promo items, and assisting in organizing events. During my time as Treasurer I was able to gather over $17,000 in funding to send 18 students to the Game Developers Conference in 2019. Additionally, I secured enough funding to fully feed two 48-hour game jams with over 50 participants. Through my time with the organization, I made friends that continue to challenge and inspire me to work harder, enabling me to become a better game developer.

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing video games, of course. Some of my favorite games include The Last of Us, The Legend of Zelda, and Metal Gear Solid. Games that combine engaging, poignant stories with exciting gameplay like these are the reason that I got into game development in the first place. I intend to create games that combine story and gameplay in a way that engages and inspires players to become better, as games have done for me.

Outside of game development I have many hobbies such as fitness, martial arts, cooking, and playing Dungeon and Dragons with friends. Fitness has been important to me ever since high school, so I always make time to engage in cardio or weight training. My favorite form of fitness is martial arts, which helps sharpen my mind as well as my body. Grilling is my favorite form of cooking; there’s nothing better than cooking a full meal on the grill for friends and family on a beautiful day! Dungeons and Dragons is a recent hobby of mine, but one of my favorites, as it provides an excuse to hang out with friends and engage in new experiences together!
